About
You might be looking into counselling because a specific issue is causing you discomfort, distress or suffering. Alternatively, maybe it’s a more general sense of unease or conflict you are facing. A sense that ‘something isn’t quite right’. Perhaps you’re seeking a ‘space to talk’. To relationally and experientially explore, reflect and connect. To psychotherapeutically attend to your life. You might want deeper understanding or awareness; that of yourself, as well as your relating with others and the world around you. Integration and unification may seem salient; a process of Self-Actualisation and Individuation. Whatever you bring, I strive to offer an accepting and supportive environment, where the pace and depth in which we work is fundamentally of your choosing and invitational.
I will pay close attention to what you might need from our sessions, doing my utmost to 'walk alongside you' in understanding, exploration and support. Acknowledging with regard and respect your experiences, thoughts, feelings and memories. Those of your present, here-and-now, as well as those past. Attentive and responsive to such, as well as the relating taking place between us. Inviting the 'whole of your experience', we might explore possibilities and potentialities by way of a deepening awareness, fuller experiencing, sense and meaning-making.
I believe the Psychotherapeutic Relationship is a collaborative one. A relationship that promotes, stimulates and facilitates our meeting and connecting. As well as finding ways of working together that further your life in the direction you wish.
